Talking Headless · August 26
Grab your calendar. This one's a treat.
Every episode I host, I learn something new about analyst relations (AR). On August 26, Jon Reed and Ashley Chabot are joining me at noon ET. If you touch AR in any way, clear your lunch hour.
Here's who's showing up.
Jon Reed calls out the noise for a living
Jon co-founded diginomica and has written five books on enterprise technology. He built his entire career on one question: does this vendor claim survive contact with a real buyer? That instinct makes him one of the sharpest voices in the room, and he brings it into every conversation he's part of. His current series on next-gen analyst relations has already gotten traction with AR directors, and it's worth a read before August 26. Find it on diginomica. Expect him to push, dig, and land on something you'll want to write down. Connect with Jon on LinkedIn.
Ashley Chabot builds AR programs that fit the business, not a mold
Ashley leads analyst relations at Miro. She's spent over ten years doing this work, from big enterprise teams to running the entire function solo. She shapes every program around what the company actually needs, and she partners directly with product, marketing, and executive leadership so analyst insight shows up in real decisions. Ask her anything about starting an AR function from zero. She's done it more than once. Connect with Ashley on LinkedIn.
Why I keep doing this show
Every single episode teaches me something new. Doesn't matter if the guest has been in AR for two years or twenty. Paul Greenberg and Brent Leary built this show, and I was honored to take over as host from Paul. Analyst relations deserves a bigger stage. The profession runs on judgment calls nobody outside the field ever sees, and the people who do this work rarely get the spotlight they've earned. Talking Headless exists to change that, one conversation at a time.
That's the whole mission. Raise the visibility of AR professionals and the analysts they work alongside, so more marketing leaders understand what this function actually does and why it matters.
I'd recommend every CMO, and every product and go-to-market leader, watch these episodes. AR shapes how your company gets described before a single deal closes. That's worth an hour of anyone's time in those seats.
Binge the back catalog this week
Every past episode is sitting on YouTube, and each one plays like a masterclass on its own. Watch a few before August 26 and you'll show up to this one already fluent. The full show is also live wherever you get your podcasts, including Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
